This Fabulous Friday, love is still in the air (leftover from Valentines Day!) so we are going to take a peek at a few of my favorite things– with love in mind. In theory, this could have been a REALLY long post, but don’t worry, I’ve reigned myself in! Hopefully, I have a little something for everyone…
The movie:
THE NOTEBOOK (based on the novel written by Nicholas sparks) http://tinyurl.com/6zhs3a
I first watched it years ago with my husband one Valentines Day… it is hands down the most heartbreaking yet heartwarming movie I’ve ever seen! Love through the test of time- you WILL need Kleenex for this. I’m not much of a crier, but I blubbed wretchedly! The ultimate romantic movie.
The lipstick:
I’m usually a Clinique/ Estee Lauder girl, but when it comes to the perfect pink to pucker up with, my vote goes to Cover Girl Lip Perfection lipstick in “Verve”. Stays on, feels good- a gorgeous, happy shade of pink.
The Valentines cookie:
I made these yesterday for my guys- a huge success (although anything with sugar pretty much works in our house!)

The perfume:
Scent is a very personal thing- and if you have a partner to consider, you might want to run it by them for a true “love is in the air” experience. For example, I used to like Estee Lauder’s White Linen when my husband and I were first married- he thought it smelled like cat’s pee. End of White Linen for me, but your man might think it smells heavenly…
My favorite- make that OUR favorite perfume is ANGEL by Thierry Mugler. I just discovered it a year ago, but it’s been around for 20 years. If you aren’t familiar with it, why not go and see if the lovely perfume ladies will give you a sample? It’s delicious! Apparently, it has “chocolate notes” which would explain a lot. Plus it’s refillable in the gorgeous star bottle. It’s my Valentines fragrance for the second year running!
The book:
REDEEMING LOVE by Francine Rivers http://tinyurl.com/bd7gsb5
This is my absolute favorite novel! It’s a love story based on the Biblical account of Hosea, intertwining love, forgiveness, redemption, grace, acceptance- it’s all there! This beautifully written book tells of one man’s plight to love and cherish a woman who feels completely unworthy. It’s a challenging reminder of God’s unconditional love and passion for His children.
And that’s a LOVE-ly way to wrap up this Fabulous Friday!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
