Well, have I got a sweet read for you! It’s a brand-new board book coming just in time for Easter, and I have a copy to give away. I’m all about encouraging children to love books at an early age, and my talented friend Glenys Nellist has written this charming story introducing little ones to Jesus. It’s called: GOOD NEWS! IT’S EASTER!

“There’s new life to be found!”

I adore springtime—especially since moving to Canada, where the Narnia-ish winters seem never-ending and snow certainly loses its charm by February. Thoughts of warm sunshine and flower buds and fluffy chicks make my heart swell… there’s something immensely comforting with the knowledge that spring will ALWAYS arrive after the long, dark winter. Oh, the joy of a new season!

Children seem to embrace each season with eager anticipation—all enthusiasm and energy! One way to encourage them to appreciate God and all the beautiful intricacies in His glorious creation is to read about it in books.

“There are many little ways to enlarge your world.  Love of books is the best of all.” – Jacqueline Kennedy

And with Easter coming up, I’d like to share this darling board book to tuck into an Easter basket. Good News! It’s Easter! by Glenys Nellist celebrates both springtime and the good news of the Easter message in appealing, understandable rhyme. A perfect addition to any young child’s bookshelves.

Here is my review and also my Amazon affiliate link in case you want to grab a copy, which means I get a tiny commission while you pay the regular price for any of the books: (Full disclosure here.)

“The sweetest rhyming board book for tiny book lovers! This springtime read shows how new life is found in all walks of nature, from the bunny to the oak leaf—and especially remembering at Easter that new life is found in Jesus. The illustrations are exquisite, and this book is sure to become a favorite for little hands!”
