BOOKISH PROBLEMS: It’s hard to keep up with all the latest and greatest new books hitting the shelves. It just is. (Especially when your own is launching!) But when you are sent a copy to review or actually know the author, you simply have to spread the reading love. So I’m sharing four fabulous new Christian books for all ages, all quite wonderful. Plus, I’m giving one of them away right here…

“That is a good book which is opened with expectation and closed with profit.” Amos Bronson Alcott

I’ve included my little reviews on each of these new books, along with my Amazon affiliate links in the titles in case you want to grab a copy (full disclosure here) which means I get a tiny commission while you pay the regular price for any of the books. Let’s get started:

MAYBE I CAN LOVE MY NEIGHBOR TOO by Jennifer Grant (picture book for ages 5-8)
In this delightful picture book, Grant addresses the poignant question we should all be asking… how can I love my neighbor? As a little girl living in a high-rise ponders who her neighbors are, her mother explains that neighbors are not just the people who live close by—they are people everywhere. The girl starts noticing ways in which others show love to their neighbors and is overjoyed to discover she is able to do the same. A much-needed message for all ages told in a way in which children will easily understand—plus some very cool illustrations!

LIVING LIES by Natalie Walters (Christian romantic suspense)
When young widow Lane Kent stumbles across a dead body in the woods, she doesn’t anticipate the unfolding of a sinister undercover business in her sleepy town—or a new love in her life. This suspenseful story deals with depression, grief, hope, and forgiveness in a page-turning tender romance. An excellent debut Christian romantic suspense novel by this author.

FINDING BEAUTIFUL by Rebecca Friedlander (Christian non-fiction)
Rebecca Friedlander has poured her heart and soul into this inspirational book! She takes the reader around the world and introduces 12 women whose lives have been transformed by Jesus. Delving into the lies we are bombarded with regarding beauty, she reveals what true beauty is and how—and in whom—it is found. Each chapter includes a real-life story, a make-over, and a Bible narrative. Finding Beautiful is an inspiring read for women of all ages!
